Advanced telecommunications in Xàbia

Boga Suis Telecom, SL, A Javea company dedicated to advanced television services and telecommunications, plans to develop a network of cable television and Internet and wireless networks in the north coast of Alicante, with the cooperation of National Innovation Company (ENISA).

Senior telecommunications engineer and the promoter of Boga Suis Telecom, SL, Luis Ronda Molines, Received this a € 250,000 cheque this week from the executive director of investments of ENISA, Palazuelos Angel Puerta, Who expressed his satisfaction in including the Xàbia company among innovative companies.

Ronda, who is also an MBA from IESE, has extensive experience in the telecommunications sector, having worked in the industry for over fifteen years, based in Barcelona, ​​Madrid, London and Aix-en-Provence. He has realised telecommunications projects at the general management level in Germany, Italy, France, Spain, United Kingdom, Portugal, Turkey, Venezuela, for operators of up to 12 million users and investment of more than 250 million euros, and now wants to develop this new project in Xàbia, the town of his birth.

"The investment for which ENISA funds are intended are to improve television and telecommunications services offered to our residents and European tourists, allowing our telecommunications infrastructure on the tourist coast to progressively achieve European standards of service, "said Ronda, who has stressed the importance of such services to economic progress as well as "the sustainability and competitiveness of tourism."

Boga Suis Telecom SL plans to invest in fibre optic infrastructure to deploy over the coming years in Javea, Denia, Teulada-Moraira, Benissa, Calpe, Altea, Alfaz del Pi, La Nucia, and to provide quality connection to the urbanisations and isolated areas, which have a poor internet service or television. In the first phase, they plan to acquire the cable telecommunications operator based in Balcon al Mar, Swiss Service & Cable-TV SL.

The aim is to bridge the digital divide experienced by the Marina Alta and Baja, and all the Spanish tourist coast. This divide should be eliminated in order to be competitive as a destination for European tourists and to offer improved telecommunications services to the public.

Through the ENISA funding Boga Suis Telecom, S.L. intends initially, to develop advanced television services, aimed at foreign residents. This will be invested in the creation of innovative wireless link cable television systems during 2011.

ENISA is an entity formed under the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade that invests in innovative companies in Spain. Its modus operandi is to co-invest with entrepreneurs, making it easier for equity loans. In addition, these equity loans do not require collateral or guarantees, and so are well suited for investors and entrepreneurs. ENISA funding amounts between 20 000 and 1 million euros.
