AMJASA plumbers to receive skills training for repairing to the water supply system

The Board of Directors promotes company training courses for employees

The Municipal Water Utility of Javea, AMJASA, has received a grant from AGA (Spanish Association of Water Utility Companies) to improve the job skills of their employees. The subject the training will cover corrective maintenance in water supply systems and is aimed at plumbers. The course will be attended by nine company workers and three unemployed plumbers from the municipality. Classes will be held on Friday 2nd , 9th and 16th March in the morning and will be taught by specialists from AGE Training and Consulting.

The Board of Directors of Amjasa have stated that their request for these training courses is proof of the company's new policy and their commitment to guaranteeing the skills and competence of their employees. Further to this, a new training classroom was set up a few months ago in the office of the former manager in the Camí Cabanes headquarters.

As for the course that is set to begin next month, those enrolled will learn to carry out maintenance work in the water supply system and operating facilities. They will learn to detect, analyse and assess the causes of damages, and choose the response with the lowest impact on the water supply service. They will also learn how to choose the appropriate equipment, tools, supplies and resources necessary to replace the damaged parts of the system in the shortest time possible, with the required quality and safety required. Furthermore, they will learn to check the operations, repair valves, pumps and other components of the system, and disassemble and repair their damaged parts.
