Javea issues an invitation to tender for the sunbeds and umbrella services on several beaches
The Town Hall proposes a new kayak rental concession in the Granadella

The Javea Town Hall has issued an invitation to tender for several of the seasonal service on the beaches that have been deserted since 2010, such as the sunbeds and umbrella services on the beaches of La Grava, Benissero or First Montañar and half of the Arenal beach. The Town Hall is very interested in making these services available, for which it has lowered the price of the initial tender established in 2010. In addition, the Department of Environment and Beaches under the direction of Doris Courcelles proposes a new nautical concession in the form of a kayak rental service on the Granadella beach.
All of these concessions count with the authorisation from the Alicante Province Coastal Service for a two-year term, and run from the 15 May until 30 September, a period that is extendable for 16 days at Easter and 15 days before and after the season upon request and payment of the corresponding fees.
The initial bidding prices are 1,300 euros per year for outfitting and operating 120 square meters of sunbeds and umbrellas on the Grava beach, 3,500 euros for 325 square meters in the First Montañar and 40,000 euros for 1,712 meters square in the Arenal.
The base price for the new 40m2 post for kayak rental in the Granadella has been set at 600 Euros.
The award of the concessions will be determined through an open process, the only criteria being the highest bid, provided that the facilities comply with all technical specifications and regulations.
Proposals may be submitted until April 9th at the Department of Environment and Beaches, located in the offices of the Portal del Clot (Avenida Amanecer, nº 2).

The Javea Town Hall awards contracts for beach services
Contracts awarded for sunbed and umbrella hire and a new post for kayak rental in the Granadella

This morning the Town Hall opened the proposals received for the temporary beach services. According to sources from the Department of Environment and Beaches headed by Doris Courcelles, a total of 19 proposals were received for the contracts that had expired in 2010.
After checking the details of the proposals on both technical and economical levels, the department offered the operation of sunbed and umbrella hire along a 120m stretch of La Grava Beach to Alfredo Monge for 1,810 Euros, operation of sunbed and umbrella hire along a 325m stretch of the Benissero or Primer Montañar to Rute SL Ponts for 3,650 euros and the same service along a 1,712m stretch on the Arenal Beach to Lorenzo Rey for 55,000 Euros.
As for the nautical contracts, a new award has been made for a kayak rental service on the Granadella beach. The option received most interest with eight proposals and has been awarded to Luis de la Mata who bid 3,500 euros for the right to the service.
The Town Hall is very interested in making these services available as well as creating opportunities for self-employment with these contracts, for which it has lowered the price of the initial tender established in 2010.
The contract were awarded to the highest bidders after checking that all proposals were met all the technical requirements and regulations.
