Bye Laws governing Pet dogs
From Press Release: July 20th 2012
1. All pet dogs must be identified electronically with a chip
2. Dogs are not allowed to enter parks, gardens, beaches and variousl public places
3. Dogs must be on a lead when in a public place, and the owner should carry the animal's documentation.
4. Dangerous dogs should be muzzled, and on a non-extendable lead of no longer than 2 metres.
5. Dogs must not foul roads or public spaces with faeces or urine, nor eat and leave dirt and residues on public throughfares.
6. Dogs should releive themselves in areas of sand or soil, if they should foul a public thoroughfare, then the owner is responsible for collecting the droppings.
