Javea beaches cleaned by the Town Hall and Costas

Jávea / Xàbia Town Hall and the department of Coasts of the Environment Ministry are working together to clean Xàbia bay. From a week ago a team of eleven operatives has been working to regenerate the beaches of Jávea after recent storms.
The first to be cleaned up was the Arenal, where workers pulled out all the stops to remove dirt and algae that the sea had been washed up in recent days. Already the Department of Environment has removed about 1,200 cubic meters of waste, consisting mainly of remnants of sea weed. Some remains will be used by of horse owners and equestrian centers in the municipality.
Another beach which has been cleaned up is the Grava, where the sea has washed up remains of reeds. Now they are cleaning Muntanya I and will then continue their work on the rest of beaches "two workers will remain on a permanent basis at the Arenal to keep it in the best condition," stressed Doris Courcelles (Councillor for the Environment) (From Press Release)
