Música a L’Estiu a Success
Jávea. 26 July 2011. The department of Culture of the Jávea Town Hall evaluated the outcome of the series of concerts offered by the international course, Music L'Estiu. Recitals were given every evening from Tuesday to Sunday, with an average attendance of 300 people per day, resulting in a total of 1,500 spectators.
Empar Bolufer, Councillor for Culture, stressed the high level of the musicians who have performed, from the teachers who played in the ensemble that accompanied the German oboist Thomas Indermhüle, to the closing performance given by the 70 best students of the course.
Bolufer announced that the Town Council will continue to support this festival, which has been held in the town for 26 years and has become one of the most important cultural events of the summer. Moreover, according to the Councillor, the fact that many tourists book their summer holidays in Jávea coinciding with the dates of the festival is proof of its consolidation.
One of the highlight performances of the festival was the Nuna Ensemble, a quintet which includes two local musicians, Luis Tormos and Bartolomé. Mayor
