Taking stock of Tourism

Javea's Tourism Board is up and running again (after several years of neglect). On June 3rd 2008, Chairman of the board, Jose Chulvi (Councillor for Tourism) announced that the Town Hall will be gathering up to date information about the tourists that visit Jávea: How many there are (by looking at water consumption and refuse collection figures) and their opinions about Jávea's Tourist offering (through multilingual questionnaires in the summer)

Chulvi also described the pamplets for new walking routes which had been printed and said that the council was also preparing new bike routes which should be ready for 2009.

He also announced that on June 13th there would be a meeting of councillors and tourism representatives from regional towns. They planned to develop a common tourist strategy and a "Marina Alta" brand.
