Police beach patrols

Xàbia local police to assist Red Cross on beach patrols

July 1st 2008
From now until September 30th a team of four members of the the local police will be helping the Red cross by carrying out offshore patrols in a rib. This will be to ensure that boats and other craft do not infringe on the swimming areas in relatively inaccessible bays such as La Barraca and Granadella. Police will assist the Red Cross by enforcing beach regulations, especially when red flags are flying. Access by sea will also be quicker in case of emergencies.

Working hours will be similar to Red Cross Beach patrols: 11.00am till 7.00pm. This is in addition to the supervision of the Marine Reserve off the Cabo de San Antonio.
